Two things make Gundam odds confusing. The first is that the pack changed: GD01–GD04 packs and GD05+ packs are not the same object, and a rate quoted for one era is wrong for the other. The second is the hit slot — because parallels and Legend Rares share it, a C+ parallel can be rarer than a Legend Rare, which is the opposite of what the rarity ladder suggests.
Everything below comes from the same registry that drives our Gundam Pack Lab. Nothing is rounded up to look exciting, and anything without a source is listed as unknown rather than guessed.
What a pack contains, and what it costs
Structure first, because structure is the part with a source. Everything in this table is either printed on the product or counted by us from the August 25, 2026 snapshot.
| What | Figure | Provenance |
|---|---|---|
| Cards per pack | 12 (GD01–GD04 era) · 11 (GD05+ era) | official structure |
| Packs per booster box | 24 | retailer-listed |
| Boxes per case | 12 | retailer-listed |
| Foil / hit slots per pack | 2 | official structure |
| Cheapest sealed booster box we hold a price for | Eternal Nexus — $111.08 | counted by InkSight |
| Cost per pack at that box price | $4.63 | counted by InkSight |
On the August 25, 2026 snapshot the cheapest sealed booster box we hold a confident price for is Eternal Nexus at $111.08 — $4.63 a pack across 24 packs, 288 cards to the box. That division is honest. Multiplying it against the expectation table below is not a valuation: expected value needs a price for every possible card, and the tiers with no published rate are missing from the arithmetic by design.
That listing is the only guaranteed number in this section: a real SKU at a real snapshot price. What comes out of it is the probabilistic part, and that starts with the tier everybody is actually asking about.
Slot by slot
The two structures are shown separately, with the sets that belong to each. Pack Lab picks the era from the set you select — it is never a toggle, because a set only ever had one structure.
Basis: Pack STRUCTURE is official from Bandai’s Gundam Card Game product pages (24 packs per box, 12 boxes per case). Every RATE is a COMMUNITY AGGREGATE of public openings — Bandai publishes no Gundam pull rates. The pack changed shape mid-line, so Pack Lab simulates two eras and picks the right one from the set you choose. Parallel printings with no published rate are excluded rather than guessed.

Sets in this structure: Freedom Ascension, Stardust Trails. Pack size: 11 cards.

Gundam has no god packs and no box toppers. Pack Lab simulates neither.
Bandai prints no box guarantees for Gundam. Pack Lab never claims a Legend Rare floor.
GD01–GD04 packs also carry a resource token. It is a plain token 95.8% of the time (no market price, never counted toward EV); the remaining 4.2% is the C++ foil resource printing, which does have a price and is simulated.
Read those tables as two separate claims. The frequency of a slot is one thing; what can appear inside it is another, and the provenance chip tells you which of the two somebody actually published.
Per box and per case
The question behind every pull-rate search is really "what should a box give me". Here is that arithmetic, done on the rates above and labelled for what it is.
| Tier | Per pack | Per box (24 packs) | Per case (12 boxes) |
|---|---|---|---|
| Common | 5.00 | 120 | 1,440 |
| Uncommon | 5.00 | 120 | 1,440 |
| Rare | 0.620 | 14.9 | 179 |
| Legend Rare | 0.300 | 7.20 | 86.4 |
| Parallel (incl. Link Rare) | 0.025 | 0.600 | 7.20 |
| LR+ Parallel | 0.040 | 0.960 | 11.5 |
| Special Print (SP) | 0.014 | 0.336 | 4.03 |
| LR++ (case hit) | 1 per 286 | 0.084 | 1.01 |
Derived by InkSight: these are the rates above multiplied out, nothing more. They are averages over many boxes, not contents of your box — no publisher here seeds a box to hit an average, and a slot that averages 0.4 per box is absent from most boxes.
Averages hide the shape of a box. Most of what you open is the middle of the ladder, and the middle of the ladder is where a deck actually comes from.
What each tier is worth — which is not how often it appears
Rates tell you frequency. Prices tell you worth. Keeping them apart is the whole discipline: a tier can be common and expensive, or scarce and cheap, and only one of those two numbers is published by anyone.
What nobody knows
Every guide on the internet prints the rates it has. This is the list of rates that do not exist — the printings we refuse to estimate, with the reason attached. Our simulator excludes all of them.
- Link Rare printings in the GD01–GD04 era — rate unknown — not simulated. The aggregate reports no Link Rare share for that era, so the tier is dropped rather than given a borrowed rate.
- Edition Beta (EB01) and Eternal Nexus structure detail — Edition Beta is excluded entirely — a different product with no community box mapping. Eternal Nexus is simulated on the GD01–GD04 structure, which is unverified for that set and flagged here.
- Starter decks, Deck Build Boxes, promotional cards and promotional resource tokens — rate unknown — not simulated. Not booster contents.
Try the rates yourself
Every rate on this page is the rate our simulator rolls, because both read the same registry. Rip a simulated pack and watch the distribution do what the table says it will over a few hundred packs — it is the cheapest way to see how rarely a "1 in 288" actually lands.
We update this page whenever the registry changes, and a build gate fails loudly if the two ever disagree — so a rate here is never a stale copy of a rate we corrected somewhere else.
Common questions
Are these official Gundam Card Game pull rates?
No. Bandai publishes pack structure but no per-rarity odds for the Gundam Card Game. Every rate here is a community estimate or a figure we derived from one, and each row says which.
How many cards are in a Gundam Card Game booster pack?
It depends on the era: 12 cards in the GD01–GD04 era, 11 cards in the GD05+ era. Both come 24 packs to a box.
Can a C+ really be rarer than a Legend Rare?
Yes, and this is the most misread thing about the game. The parallel and Legend Rare printings share one hit slot, so scarcity follows the slot share, not the rarity name printed on the card.
How many Legend Rares should a box give?
On the estimated rates above, a 24-pack box averages 7.20 Legend Rare across the hit slot. That is arithmetic on a community estimate, not a printed guarantee — Bandai promises nothing per box.
What is the LR++ rate?
The registry places LR++ at roughly one per case, sourced from community tallies. It is the rarest thing we simulate, and a case-level figure is exactly as noisy as it sounds.
