Freedom Ascension (GD05) pull rates

Bandai publishes the shape of a Gundam Card Game booster and the headline count of LR++ cards in GD05 — but no odds. Here is the sourced structure, the full parallel composition, and what each tier is worth today.

One figure on Bandai’s own GD05 page is checkable and interesting: Freedom Ascension carries five LR++ types, the most of any Gundam set so far. Our snapshot counts exactly five LR++ printings, which is a rare case of publisher copy and market data agreeing exactly.

What Bandai does not publish is how often any of them appears. There is no odds sheet for the Gundam Card Game, so this page gives you the structure and the composition, and leaves the probability column empty.

What the publisher actually publishes

Before any rate: here is every structural figure for Freedom Ascension that comes from a source you can check, with its provenance next to it.

Provenance is stated on every row on purpose. "Official" means the publisher printed it; "retailer-listed" means the figure comes from the sealed product listing; "counted by InkSight" means we counted it in the August 25, 2026 snapshot ourselves. Nothing here is a probability, because none of these figures is one.

Are there official pull rates for Freedom Ascension?

No. Bandai’s GD05 product page describes what is in the set — the new Link Rare cards, the SP pilot cards, and a record five LR++ types — but publishes no per-rarity probability for the Gundam Card Game in any region.

So this page publishes the structure, the checklist composition and the current prices, and stops there. Where you see a "1 in X" figure for this set elsewhere, it is somebody's opening sample — sometimes a good one, usually undated, rarely with the sample size attached. We will add community data to this page the day a dataset clears our bar: a stated number of packs opened, a stated collection window, and raw per-pack results rather than a summary.

Freedom Ascension by rarity — the composition, not the odds

Gundam rarity has two axes: the printed tier, and whether the copy is a parallel. Our feed keeps them separate because the market does — a Common parallel and a base Common are different products with different prices.

Printings counted in the August 25, 2026 snapshot: every separately-priced product in Freedom Ascension, so an alternate-art printing counts as its own row. Share of the set is a composition figure — how much of the checklist sits at that tier — and it is not a pull rate. A tier that is 4% of the checklist is not pulled 4% of the time; print runs are not proportional to checklist size, and no publisher has told anyone what they are. Medians use confident prices only and are shown from five priced printings up.

What a box costs, and what that buys

On the August 25, 2026 snapshot a sealed Freedom Ascension booster box sits at $187.91. Divided across 24 packs that is $7.83 a pack, or 168 cards for the box. That is the entire arithmetic anyone can do honestly: price per pack is a division, expected value is not, because expected value needs odds and there are none.

That listing is the one number in this section that is a real, checkable price for a real SKU. What the box contains is a different question, and the cards below are the honest way to think about it: most of what comes out of a box sits in the middle of the ladder, not at the top of it.

Across the whole set we hold confident prices on 98 of 197 tracked printings; the median printing is $6.52 and the sum of every priced printing in the set is $13706.69. That last number is the cost of one of every card at market, not the value of a box — a box contains a small, unknown-to-us slice of that checklist.

The cards people are actually opening for

The LR++ printings and the parallel Legend Rares carry this set. The base Legend Rares are far more affordable than their parallels, which is the single most useful thing a new Gundam buyer can learn.

Is a box worth opening?

A 24-pack box of a seven-card product is a lot of packs and not many cards. Whether that lands well depends entirely on frequencies Bandai has never published, so we will not tell you a box "averages" anything.

The honest framing: buy sealed for the experience of opening it. If you want specific cards, singles are cheaper and certain — and most of a playable deck sits in the $1.00–$15.00 band below.

What would make us publish a rate

We would publish a community pull rate for Freedom Ascension if a dataset arrived with: the number of packs opened, who opened them, when, whether the packs came from the same case, and the per-pack results rather than a total. Anything short of that is an anecdote with a percentage sign on it, and the reason it matters is that box-break samples are small and case-mapped — a hundred packs from two cases can be wildly unrepresentative of a print run.

Until then, the numbers on this page are the ones we can stand behind: what the publisher printed, what our snapshot counted, and what the market is paying today. The rarities and parallels guide explains the "+" system in full.

Common questions

What are the pull rates for Gundam Freedom Ascension (GD05)?

Bandai does not publish pull rates for the Gundam Card Game. The GD05 product page states set contents — including a record five LR++ card types — but no per-rarity odds. Any rate quoted for GD05 is a community estimate.

How many cards are in a Gundam Card Game booster pack?

Six cards plus one, for seven total, with 24 packs in a booster display. Those counts come from retail listings of the sealed product.

How many LR++ cards are in Freedom Ascension?

Five types — the largest LR++ lineup in the game so far according to Bandai, and exactly the number of LR++ printings our daily snapshot counts in the set.

What does the "+" mean on a Gundam card?

It marks a parallel: an alternate-art printing of the same card at the same printed rarity. LR++ is a double parallel. Parallels are separate products with their own, usually much higher, prices.

Is a Freedom Ascension booster box worth buying?

Nobody can compute an honest expected value without published odds. Buy a box to open it; buy singles when you want particular cards.
