Before anyone puts money down, here is what Bandai’s official product page and reveal material actually confirm. The short version: the set is real, the flashy claims on those flyers mostly check out, and the dates are locked — English pre-release events August 21, English wide release August 28, and the Japanese release August 22. That six-day gap between the Japanese and English versions is the closest a mainline One Piece set has ever run, though it is not the simultaneous global launch some early posts described. OP-17 is the game’s 4th Anniversary set, built around Elbaf, the Giants, and the Emperors. The one thing no flyer can tell you is pull rates, because Bandai has not published any.

Six leaders, and every one is an Emperor
All six leaders are confirmed through official Bandai reveal videos: Edward Newgate in Red, Monkey D. Luffy in Black, Shanks in Green, Kaido in Purple, Charlotte Linlin in Yellow, and — confirmed August 3 — Rocks D. Xebec in Blue, his first leader card in the game. Luffy’s leader (OP17-079) is the Elbaf version from the current manga arc, and the revealed text is built to captain giants: it grants Blocker to your characters costing 12 or more. So when a shop flyer advertises a brand-new Elbaf Luffy Leader and Giant Tribe support, that part is accurate. Bandai’s own product copy leans into the nostalgia angle, billing the set as old popular Leaders returning as brand-new Leaders.

The chase structure, minus the guesswork
Officially shown so far: Loki, OP17-119, a Black Secret Rare — the Elbaf prince’s first high-rarity card and the first of the set’s three Secret Rares to be revealed. Detailed card text should be treated as provisional until release. Manga-artwork treatments are confirmed for the four former Emperors: Newgate OP17-005, Shanks OP17-022, Kaido OP17-062, and Charlotte Linlin OP17-112.
A new treatment called the Super Leader Parallel debuts on Luffy’s leader: original One Piece manga artwork on a Leader card for the first time. You will see it called a Manga Leader around the community; Bandai’s name for it is Super Leader Parallel. Beyond that, the set carries ten Special cards, one Treasure Rare, and — straight from the official product page — a cycle of the Straw Hat crew in Elbaf attire.
What nobody knows yet
Pull rates are unpublished. Bandai has not released insertion rates for anything in OP-17, and the per-case estimates circulating for the manga-art cards are unofficial numbers we will not repeat. The full card list is also not published as of mid-August.
And there are no secondary prices, because the set has not released; the projections floating around are guesses. One more thing worth naming: when a flyer says limited allocation and first come, first served, that is retail urgency language, not product information. It may be perfectly true about one shop’s stock. It tells you nothing about the set.
Pre-ordering with your eyes open
Bandai’s list price is the anchor: $4.99 a pack, $119.76 for a 24-pack box. Any pre-order priced above that is a premium paid for allocation certainty before a single pull-rate or price data point exists. That can be a reasonable trade if having day-one product in hand matters to you — anniversary sets draw crowds, and store allocations of hot sets genuinely do sell through. It is simply worth knowing that certainty is the thing you are paying for. If you would rather see data first, pre-release events run August 21 and shelves stock on August 28.
