A double-digit median decline sounds alarming until you remember what the first week of a set actually is. Listings are thin, sellers price on hope, and a handful of optimistic asks set the record for everybody. By week two the box-opening wave has passed, cards are in binders, and the prices are being set by people who own the cards rather than people guessing about them. A median of −11.1% across 72 measured cards is the normal shape of that landing.
What matters is the distribution underneath it. Twelve cards went the other way, several by double digits, and the chase tiers behaved nothing like the commons. So rather than one number, here is the whole set, sorted by what actually happened.

Illaoi — Prophet of the Great Kraken (Overnumbered) is the story of the set: $76.04 in release week against $107.84 now, +41.8%, and it did it on 7 snapshot days in the current window rather than one spike. Below it the gains get modest fast — the 5th-best riser in the entire set is only +12.0%. A set with one strong riser and a thin tail behind it is a set where demand is concentrated, not broad.

The steepest faller, Kennen — Storm of Shuriken, is −42.4% — from $7.12 to $4.10. At that price level a decline like this rarely means the card is bad; it means release-week asks were being set against almost no supply, and supply arrived. The one genuinely expensive card in this list, Ambessa — Respected and Feared (Overnumbered), is the exception worth watching, because thin high-value markets move on very few sales in either direction.

Chase rarities are the cards people buy the set for, and they are also the thinnest markets in it. Here is the median of each chase tier in release week against the median now — measured across every printing in the tier, so one outlier cannot carry the number.
- Signature — median $804.39 → $558.43 −30.6%, 4 of 7 printings higher than release week.
- Overnumbered — median $108.37 → $97.62 −9.9%, 6 of 31 printings higher than release week.
- Alternate Art — median $3.80 → $2.61 −31.4%, 1 of 18 printings higher than release week.

Every chase median is down, and we are not going to dress that up: the top of Vendetta is cheaper today than it was in release week. The Signature tier gave back −30.6% against its opening median, and the Overnumbered tier −9.9% — with 6 of its 31 printings bucking that. These are also the cards where a single sale moves the print, so treat every figure in this section as the centre of a range rather than a quote.

Nobody publishes pull rates for Riftbound. Bandai and Riot both ship these sets without slot odds, and InkSight does not invent them — so there is no expected-value figure in this section, and there will not be one until real odds exist. What we can do is show what the sealed product has actually cost, day by day, in our own snapshots.
Our snapshots put the case at $799.70 across release week (Jul 31–Aug 6) against $881.65 across the last seven days, +10.2%.
How to read this without an EVCompare the sealed price against the singles you actually want. The chase medians earlier on this page are the honest yardstick: if the printings you are chasing sit far below the box price and the box is drifting down, opening is a preference, not a value play. When the numbers do not exist, the right move is to say so.

What these numbers are. Every figure on this page is a trailing seven-day median of InkSight’s own stored daily TCGplayer snapshots — the price a copy was listed or marked at on the day we recorded it. These are asks and Market prices, not confirmed sales data, and no third party’s sold-listing feed is used anywhere in this article.
Windows. Release week is Jul 31–Aug 6, 2026. The current window is Aug 7–Aug 13, 2026. A card needs at least three snapshot days inside both windows to appear; cards we did not begin tracking until after release are omitted rather than back-filled. We also hold 16 snapshot days for this set from before release (first recorded Jul 15), and every one of them is excluded: pre-release rows are presale and preorder asks with no market behind them, so the baseline here starts on release day itself, Jul 31, and never earlier.
Filtering. Only cards flagged verified or moderate confidence by our snapshot classifier are eligible, and both ends must be at or above $2.00. That leaves 72 eligible cards out of 244 printings we track for the set. Medians in the chase section are computed over every paired printing in the tier, including ones below the $2.00 floor.
