OP-17 The World’s Strongest Warriors: the sealed box moves, the singles do not

OP-17 releases in English on August 28, 2026, with a pre-release on August 21. We have been snapshotting the set’s listings daily since July 19. Twenty days in, the sealed box has printed 18 different prices and every single we track has printed exactly one. That gap is the entire story, and it is only visible because the snapshot runs every day.

What this is, and what it is not. Every figure on this page comes from InkSight’s own daily market-average snapshots of the TCGplayer marketplace — not a continuously updated feed, and not completed-sale data. The window is July 19 to August 7, 2026: 20 snapshot days, before the set exists. There is no forecast anywhere on this page. We do not tell you what OP-17 will be worth, because nobody can measure that yet.
Why there is no card art here. TCGplayer has not published product images for OP-17 yet — every OP-17 image URL in our feed currently returns an error. Rather than borrow another set’s art or generate a lookalike, we have shipped this report with data graphics only. Card art will appear on the individual card pages as soon as it is published.

The official facts, from Bandai

From the publisher’s own OP-17 product page, for the English edition:

  • English pre-release: August 21, 2026. English release: August 28, 2026.
  • MSRP $4.99 USD per pack.
  • Contents: 131+4 types in total.
  • Theme: the Elbaph arc and the Four Emperors. The set introduces the game’s first Manga Leader and Manga Rares.

We are deliberately not quoting packs-per-box or cards-per-pack. Those figures appear on retailer listings, not on the official page, and a shop listing is not a spec sheet. The Japanese edition is a separate product on a different date with different pack contents; nothing below applies to it.

Fifteen singles. Fifteen frozen numbers.

Fifty-one distinct OP-17 products appear in our history. Only 17 carry any price at all, and two of those are sealed. That leaves 15 singles — and not one of them has moved a cent.

Each of the figures below is the only value that card has ever printed in our snapshots. Its lowest-ask field and its market-average field carry the identical number, with zero rows where the two differ across the whole window. That is what a listing looks like when a seller has named a price and nothing has sold against it. These are asking prices. They are not market prices, and this page does not treat them as such.

The five cards sitting at $299.99 are Alternate Art printings of Whitebeard, Shanks, Kaido, Charlotte Linlin and Luffy. That the chase listings cluster on the Four Emperors is a factual observation about our own catalogue lining up with the theme Bandai announced — it is not a claim about rarity, print run, or how often any of them appears in a pack.

Two of these products, both Rocks.D.Xebec printings, first appeared on August 5 and have three snapshot days each. Sweet 3 Generals only carried a price from August 7. Short histories are labelled as short histories; we are not going to imply we have watched them for three weeks.

Sealed is a real market already

The contrast is not subtle. Across the same 20 days, the booster box printed 18 different daily values and the case 17. The box fell steadily from $400.24 to a low of $329.64 on August 2, jumped to $432.26 on August 4, and closed the window at $388.96. The case followed a similar shape, bottoming at $4,102.26 on August 3 before reaching $4,633.49.

Count of distinct daily figures per product, Jul 19–Aug 07, 2026. A bar of 1 means the number never changed once across the whole tracked history. That is the finding.

A pre-order box is a thing people are actively bidding on and repricing daily. A pre-release single is a placeholder someone put a number on. Both appear in a price feed. Only one of them is a market, and the difference is invisible unless you keep the daily history.

The only measured reference point we have

The nearest comparable number we can honestly show is the previous set. Across the 19 days we tracked it, the OP-16 booster box traded between $202.06 and $208.71, settling at $208.71.

Read that comparison carefully. The OP-16 figure is a post-release settled price, roughly five to eight weeks after OP-16 released on June 12, 2026. The OP-17 figure is a pre-release pre-order price for a product nobody has opened. They are not the same kind of number and we are not putting them on the same axis. The OP-16 number tells you what a box of the previous set actually costs once the market has it. It is not a prediction of where OP-17 lands.

The full breakdown of what OP-16 did over its first 50 tracked days — scarcity tier flat, mid tier down as much as two thirds, sealed unmoved — is in the OP-16 The Time of Battle 50-day market report.

On pull rates: no number, again

OP-17 introduces the first Manga Leader and the first Manga Rares, which makes “how often do these appear” the obvious question. Bandai does not publish official pull-rate odds for the One Piece Card Game. We did not quote a figure for OP-16 and we are not quoting one for OP-17. Where we can measure something, we show the measurement and its window; where we cannot, we say so.

What the 20 days actually say

OP-17 sealed has a functioning pre-order market with daily price discovery. OP-17 singles have listings and no market whatsoever. Anything you read about what an OP-17 card is “worth” right now is quoting a number that has not moved since July 24 and has no trade behind it. We will keep taking the snapshot every day, and the first honest singles data will arrive some time after August 28.

Common questions

When does OP-17 The World’s Strongest Warriors release in English?

Bandai lists the English pre-release for August 21, 2026 and the English release for August 28, 2026, at a $4.99 USD MSRP per pack. The Japanese edition is a separate product with a different date and different pack contents; this report covers the English release only.

Do OP-17 singles have market prices yet?

No. Across the 20 days we have tracked the set, every one of the 15 priced OP-17 singles carries exactly one unchanging figure, and its lowest-ask and market-average fields are identical. That is an asking price on a listing with no completed sales behind it, not a market price, and we do not present it as one.

What has the OP-17 sealed booster box done?

Between July 19 and August 7, 2026 the booster box printed 18 different daily market-average values, ranging from $329.64 to $432.26 and ending at $388.96. The sealed case printed 17 values, ranging from $4,102.26 to $4,633.49 and ending at $4,633.49. These are pre-order prices for an unreleased product.

How does that compare with the OP-16 booster box?

Across the 19 days we tracked it, the OP-16 booster box traded between $202.06 and $208.71 and settled at $208.71. That is a post-release settled price roughly 5 to 8 weeks after OP-16 released on June 12, 2026, while the OP-17 figure is a pre-release pre-order price. They are not the same kind of number and should not be read as a like-for-like comparison.

What are the OP-17 pull rates?

Bandai does not publish official pull-rate odds for the One Piece Card Game. InkSight does not state a pull rate for OP-17, or for any One Piece set, because we cannot verify one.

How many OP-17 products does InkSight track?

Fifty-one distinct products appear in our OP-17 history so far. Only 17 of them carry any price at all: the sealed booster box, the sealed case, and 15 singles. The remaining 34 are catalogued with no price data yet.
